Hey everyone,

A lot has been going on the last few months and I have been a very busy bumblebee. I have missed you all and have read some amazing e-mails that have inspired me to get back to blogging. Isn’t it crazy how time flies? Well, December is here and Christmas is right around the corner. Last year I did 31 days of some kind of service and I am doing it again this year. Please click on the link at the top of my page where it says “Dec 1st-31st service” or something like that and follow along. Please suggest charities, or activities in ways to give back. If you have done something please share with us all your experience and or pictures or a brief couple of sentences on what you did. Thanks everyone for your continued support.

XOXO

Hey everyone,

This morning I decided to try a new recipe I came across. A few simple ingredients for tasty and quick pancakes.

I burned mine a little because I was thinking of regular pancakes and kept leaving them on too long. These cook quick so keep an eye on them.

What You need:

(Cut in half to serve one maybe two people)

2 Organic bananas

2 spoonfuls of Organic Cinnamon

2 spoonfuls of Organic Cinnamon

4 Organic eggs

What to do

Add all ingredients together in a bowl

Whip/blend/mash whatever you have to do to get a batter consistency

Throw in the pan, cook and Enjoy!

Yum

xoxo

Ashley =)

Don’t forget if you try these recipes or even tweak them a bit, E-mail me or comment and let me know what you did and how it came out.

Thanks everyone for reading =]

This Organic Mashed Cauliflower, is seriously delicious! I actually like it better than mashed potatoes, but that is just me. I would recommend trying it, especially if you love the mashed taste without all the extra starch. Its easy, quick and there are so many ways to flavor it the way you would want it to be flavored without messing it all up.

What I used (serves about two people)

1. Organic cauliflower

2. Organic Pepper

3. Organic Butter ( I used a vegan kind)

4. Organic Olive Oil

What to do:

1. Wash Cauliflower head ( I always wash with vinegar)

2. break the cauliflower into florets or just chop

3. add cauliflower to boiling water for about 7-10 minutes or until pretty soft

4. Drain, and then add to a blender. Slowly blend and slowly add about 1 spoonful of butter, two spoons of olive oil, and as much salt and pepper as you want.

5. Poor into bowl

6. Enjoy!

Play with the ingredients, try adding organic garlic powder or any other spices that you might enjoy!

xoxo,

Ashley

Hey Everyone,

I have read a ton about the chia seed over the last few years. I discovered it for myself a while ago, and have been taking it here and there for a few years now. I am determined to add even more of the chia seed to my everyday life style. There are wonderful benefits that come from the chia seed. There are also numerous ways to incorporate to your daily meals and lifestyle.

Top 10 Reasons why I love the CHIA SEED

1. Aids in Weight Loss

2. Increases endurance

3. Increases energy ( No more energy drinks )

4. Prevents illness ( Remember, anything that boosts your immune system is going to help prevent you from getting sick, even when you are around people who have caught a nasty flu or cold. I haven’t been sick in almost a year and I know I can thank all of the great food I put in my body)

5. Fights disease. What a great way to fight any bad bacteria in your body, we want to keep ONLY good bacteria. Lets rewind a bit back to me not being sick an almost a year. The last time I was sick, I fought the cold on my own. I allowed my body to heal itself by eating foods that would help boost my immune system and fight the illness.

6. Helps improve nails, hair and skin. Who doesn’t want better looking nails, hair and skin? I sure do.

7. Is one of the most beneficial foods around. Add this to your diet! you will feel and see a difference.

8. Helps heal skin problems such as eczema, dry skin, and rashes.

9. Chia seed contains antioxidants, vitamins, minerals, fiber, amino acids, protein, and the wonderful omega-3 fatty acid called alpha-linolenic acid.

(Benefits of Alpha-linolenic acid include, but are not limited to: Fighting heart disease, Lowers high cholesterol, decreases inflammation (specifically in Lungs), lowers high blood pressure and so much more)

10. Because of all of the great antioxidants, chia contains many anti-aging properties.

Okay I have to add one more! There are just so many wonderful things about the chia seed it is so hard to narrow it down to just 10.

11. Do you have a dog? Chia seed is wonderful for Dogs! just add a little chia seed gel to their diet to keep their coat looking shiny, and their body healthy and amazing.

A fun and interesting fact about the chia seed… The aztecs used the chia oil for their skin and hair. Pretty cool huh? I think so.

As stated before, there are so many ways to add the chia seed to your diet. You can bake with the seed, add it to salads, smoothies, food, you can even make your very own drink!

3. Aids in weight loss because the calories are low, yet keeps you feeling full longer (because the fiber)

4. Lowers cholesterol

5. Keeps blood sugar from getting to high after eating a meal. Which in turn, helps prevent diabetes.

6. Prevents cardiovascular disease

7. Helps reduce high blood pressure

8. contains healthy antioxidants, minerals and vitamins that we all need.

9. You can eat oats or make a face mask! Great for Skin.

Remember, stick to the old fashioned, raw, organic oats. You don’t want to load it with sugar or it defeats the purpose. Try adding some cinnamon, fruit, and coconut oil to sweeten it up!

Lately, I have been obsessed with oats. Oats this, oats that! and I have to say, I am pretty happy with my new obsession because of how great oats can be for you. For those of you who have to be gluten free, like me, I suggest getting Red Mills oats. They are Gluten Free and delicious!

Yesterday I realized I had some Organic bananas that were going to go bad soon and since I won’t eat more than half a banana every few days, I knew I had to think quick because I was not about to throw them away!

I did some research and found a recipe, of course i had to tweak some things but they came out so yummy. They are moist, soft and delicious.

They are easy to make, so try them out and let me know what you think … oh and share with your family and friends! =]

What you will need:

1. 2 1/2 cups of oatmeal – make sure to get Gluten Free oats if you have the allergy and the old fashioned kind.

2. 2 1/2-3 bananas

3. 2 eggs ( or egg replacement)

4. 1 1/2 TSP Baking Powder

5. 1/2 TSP Basking Soda

6. Splash of Organic raw pure Vanilla

7. Dash of Organic Cinnamon

8. 1 cup of of Yogurt (I used a coconut milk yogurt, or you can use a lactose free yogurt if you can not have Lactose)

9. 3/4 cup of pure organic sugar or a couple packets of stevia

What to do:

Pre heat oven to 400 degrees

In a blender mix all ingredients, but slowly blend in the oats 1 cup at a time before the liquids

Because there is no flour, the muffins like to stick to paper liners so use foil liners or get some foil and make your own liners =)

-BAKE FOR 20 MINUTES OR UNTIL TOOTHPICK COMES OUT CLEAN

Yummy Yum Yum Yum

ENJOY,

I live in Las Vegas, it gets hot out here.

I don’t like drinking soda, and water just doesn’t cut it sometimes. So, the other day, I decided to make organic Limeade and it came out so tasty and refreshing!

What You’ll need:

1. Water

2. 3-4 Organic Limes (more or less depending how much you want to make)

3. Organic Sugar. I used Stevia.

4. Ice

What to do:

1. Mix lime juice and sliced limes with water and sugar! continue to add whatever you need until you get it just right. try not to add to much sugar, the less sugar the better for you!

I was browsing pinterest (who doesn’t love pinterest) and came across a blog that made these delicious looking banana treats. I decided to make them, but adjusted the ingredients a bit and they came out amazing. YUM!

What you will need:

1. at least 4 organic bananas but you could use less or more depending on how many you want to make

2. Organic Cinnamon

3. Organic Yogurt. I used yogurt made with coconut Milk since I can not have Milk. It still does contain live cultures. So it works out!

4. Peanut Butter. I used a replacement of peanut butter.

What You Will Need To Do:

1. Cut one banana and put into a bowl.

2. Spoonful of peanut butter and put into the same bowl.

3. Spoonful of Yogurt and put into the same bowl.

4. Splash of cinnamon

5. Mix/Mash all together

6. Then you will cut about a half inch thick banana put it on top of a try and put some of the peanut butter mix on top of the piece of banana, then cut another piece of banana and lay on top of mixture.

7. do this for however many frozen bites you want and freeze for 2-3 hours.

8. Remember to cover the top in freezer because Freezers release gases that we don’t want in our food, yuck… so cover up!

9. Eat and Enjoy!
